Get Out the Boo Boo Bunny

Tonight, Taylor learned the reason why Mama and Daddy are always saying "Don't touch that... it's hot!"

I was making breakfast for dinner and had the griddle plugged in so it had time to warm up.  While I was talking to Brent on the phone, I turned around to throw a bag in the trash can and as I turned back around, I saw Taylor's arm stretching up to the top of the stove with his little fingers grasping out to grab anything they could.  It felt like I was watching everything in slow motion.

He had barely placed the tip of his little, left middle finger on the edge of the griddle when I swooped him up and ran him over to the sink to run his finger under the faucet.  The shock and fear registered on his face immediately.  Tay had tears streaming down his face and looked absolutely pitiful.  I know touching that hot griddle hurt him, but I would venture to say that it hurt me much more.  There is nothing worse than seeing your baby in pain.  It tore my heart to pieces.

I'm happy to say that Taylor has made a full recovery thanks to the Boo Boo Bunny, smiley face pancakes, and lots of hugs and kisses from his Mama!
